Athletic Program
Rockwell Christian School offers both boys and girls the opportunity to participate in sports throughout the school year. Rockwell Christian School is in the Carolina Christian Conference and the North Carolina Christian School Foothills Region. We participate in girls’ volleyball, boys, soccer, and girls’ and boys’ basketball.

Three time Foothills Sportsmanship winner for basketball
Two time Carolina Christian Conference Sportsmanship winner for all sports

Have played in the state tournament four out of seven years

Two Foothills Championships
The program has over one hundred wins in the last seven years with the 2005 championship team going 27-4. This team also placed high in the National Tournament losing only one game. RCS has produced one All-American player, Joel Houghton, who was also two time All-State and All-Conference and the school’s all-time leading scorer at 1900 points. Joel went on to be an NAIA Academic All-American while playing for Lee University.
RCS has also had two more All-State players in Taylor Honeycutt and Josh Freeborn. Taylor was the RCS all-time rebound and block leader and also broke the 1000 point career mark. Josh holds the RCS record for 242 three-pointers in his career and breaking the 1000 point bearer. RCS has had numerous All-Conference players.

Roger Blankenship was the Coach of the Year in 2008
In one recent two-year span, the JV team was 40-2. The team has had many All-Conference players.

2010 Carolina Christian Conference Champions led by Ashlee Miller and Brittany Hopkins. This team was coached by Jeremiah and Kim Chambers.

Jordan Blankenship was All-State Goalie in 2009. The team has had many All-Conference picks. They are coached by Simon Teodorovici.
Girls Volleyball
2000 finished in top four of the State

The team is currently coached by Kim Chambers who was the 2009 Carolina Christian Conference Coach of the Year.
