Coaching Staff

Volleyball:  Head Coach--Kim Chambers.  This is Mrs. Kim Chambers’ fourth year of teaching at Rockwell Christian School; however, hers is a very familiar face since she is a graduate of RCS.  After being saved at the age of five, she was actually called to teach while attending high school at RCS.  She received her BS in Elementary Education from Pensacola Christian College.  Besides teaching third grade, she also teaches elementary Spanish, and coaches volleyball and cheerleading.  She was the 2009 Carolina Christian Conference Volleyball Coach of the Year.  As a member of Bethel Baptist Church, she works in the AWANA program and sings in the choir.

Soccer:  Head Coach--Simon Teodorovici; Assistant Coach--Ken Reynolds.  Coach Teodorovici has been with RCS since 2008.  Soccer has always been a part of his life.  While in Romania at the age of thirteen, he played two years for a junior professional team.  After coming to the USA in 1985, he continued to play on organized soccer teams and a semi-pro team.  Even though his family faced many challenges living in communist Romania, his family always trusted the Lord to provide all their needs.  Although soccer is a great passion, it doesn't come close to the grace, love, and faithfulness the Lord has always shown him.  Ken Reynolds will be assisting Coach T.

JV Boys Basketball: Head Coach--Terry Cruse.

Varsity Boys Basketball: Head Coach--Joel Houghton.    This is Coach Houghton's first year as coach of the varsity boys' basketball team at RCS, but he is not a new face around the school.  Joel is a 2005 graduate of RCS.  He was two-time All-State and All-Conference and NACA All-American while a player at RCS.  In 2005 the varsity boys' team was the NCCSA 2-A State Champions.  From RCS, Joel went on to play for Lee University Flames which went to the National Championships each of the four years Joel was at Lee.  While at Lee, Joel was two-time Academic All-American and also received the NAIA Champion of Character Scholarship Award (one of five in the country each year).  Coach Houghton has grown up in Christian Education and has a heart for it. He also has a strong desire to impact young lives for Christ through coaching and his experience in the sport of basketball
