Tamara Odom
Tamara Odom began teaching in 1981. She has worked as church secretary, daycare worker, daycare director, teacher, and piano teacher at Faith church in Kannapolis; music teacher at Gateway Baptist Church in Virginia Beach, Virginia; and teacher at Rockwell Christian School since 2000. Saved at the age of nine, she later pursued and completed a BS in sacred music. She says, “My heart is to watch young people follow the Lord with their lives. We must keep training young people to keep their eyes on the Lord!”
Tammy Hoehman
Mrs. Hoehman has worked at Rockwell Christian School since 1997 in various capacities. She has her Secretarial Certificate from Dabney S. Lancaster Community College and two years of study at Piedmont Bible College. Although saved at the age of six during a revival service in Denton, North Carolina, it was at the age of eighteen that she received full assurance of her salvation and dedicated her life to serving Christ wherever He would lead her. Currently a member of Bethel Baptist Church, she has served with her husband in churches in AWANA, nursery, and children’s church for the past twenty-six years.
Adina Martin
Mrs. Martin joins Rockwell Christian School in 2011 as one of the Upper Learning Center supervisors following a diverse 20-year career as a curriculum developer, facilitator, and program coordinator. She has a BS in Liberal Arts from Excelsior College and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Alaska, Southeast. She has developed successful experiential educational programs for adult and youth populations, within the civilian and military communities. Saved at the age of nine, Mrs. Martin began her ministry with children while she was in high school, serving as an assistant Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher to the elementary age children. She re-dedicated her life to the Lord at age 28, and is a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She serves as a JV Girls AWANA leader and a choir member. She and her husband, Michael, also serve as 5th-6th grade Sunday School teachers. They have three children who are students at Rockwell Christian School.
Joel Houghton
Crystal Funderburk
Mrs. Funderburk was a volunteer at Rockwell Christian School for several years before beginning her employment in 2008. She has worked with yearbook, taught physical education, worked as an aide in the elementary school and preschool programs, and has supervised the afterschool program. She has credentials in Early Childhood and is working towards a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. Although saved in her teen years, she rededicated her life to the Lord at the age of twenty. As a member of Bethel Baptist Church, she works in the AWANA and Sunday School programs. She and her husband, Jamie, have two children who are students at Rockwell Christian School.
