Individual spring pictures and winter sports pictures will be taken next Thursday, March 1. The information for the individual pictures is being sent home today. Please note that these pictures must be prepaid. If you are paying by check, please make it payable to Lifetouch. For these pictures the students are not required to wear their school uniforms. No jeans or jean skirts can be worn, and any clothing worn must meet the guidelines of the school’s dress code. Only those purchasing pictures may wear something other than the school uniform next Thursday, March 1.
Rowan Helping Ministries (a non-profit organization that feeds the homeless in the Salisbury area) is experiencing a shortage of boxed starches. The Upper Learning Center is collecting food items such as instant mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, pasta, boxed rice, etc. during the month of February. Your donations for this very special project will be much appreciated by the folks who are less fortunate. A special “thank you” to those of you who have already brought in food items!
Please note the following change concerning the library book check-out and return policy:
We are thankful and truly blessed that the Lord has provided Rockwell Christian School with a wonderful library and staff to keep it properly catalogued and in order. To help us better manage the use of the library and its resources, the following policy on check-out and the return of books will be followed.
For elementary students when a book or resource is checked out, it will be due on the same day the following week (books may be returned to the school office if necessary). For learning center students the book or resource is due two weeks from the check-out date. If the book is not returned by the due date, the fine will be $1.00 per week until the book is returned or the fee has accumulated to equal the full price of the book. If the book is not returned and the price of the book has been reached, there will be an additional $5.00 charge for shipping and handling to actually replace the book. If books are returned damaged, charges will be assessed according to the extent of damage.
We pray that the students will be blessed as they use the library provided for us by the Lord, and that this policy will help us to be good stewards of the resources of the Lord.
